About UsAbout Us

Lick began in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, when 2 school friends Owain Williams and Ky Wright bought an ice cream trike. They taught themselves how to make frozen yoghurt and ice cream, which they sold from their trike during the summer holidays. Because they didn't know any other way, they only used completely natural ingredients.

Despite repeated threats of violence from established ice cream vendors, they expanded, purchasing a second trike the next year.

Their frozen yoghurt and ice cream was very popular indeed and the following year they expanded again, renting the entire beach and, with the help of their friends, ran ice cream vans, ice cream kiosks, deck chairs, a bouncy castle and their two trikes.

They then decided to move their business to Brighton (supposedly the sunniest city in the UK), where they opened Lick, which sells their own recipe completely natural frozen yoghurt and ice cream.

Patient customers waiting for a Lick frozen Yoghurt
Luckily, people in Brighton liked Lick frozen yoghurt and Ky and Owain enjoyed a very busy first year. In fact, Lick has become so popular that they struggle to serve everybody who wants frozen yoghurt out of their small shop.

And so, inspired by repeated comments from customers that ‘you can’t buy real natural frozen yoghurt in the shops’, they now stock all of Brighton's favourite stores with Lick Natural Frozen Yoghurt.
